The Canadian Transplant Association, (CTA), is a charitable organization that encourages and motivates transplant recipients to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. Funds from this event will support the CTA mission of raising organ donor awareness.

ChangeTheWorld - Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge.The Challenge is delivered in partnership between the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration (MCI) and the Ontario Volunteer Centre Network (OVCN).  It is a call to action for youth aged 14 to 18 years to volunteer through a wide variety of exciting community initiatives. The goal is to inspire youth to volunteer in our communities, develop new skills, and broaden their awareness of community service organizations. This year, 25 volunteer centres are participating across Ontario and we hope to surpass the goal of 25,000 youth volunteering for a minimum of three hours over the three weeks.

LDAA Social Group Meeting

Please join Life Donation Awareness Association of Midwest Ontario (LDAA) for their social group meeting. LDAA is a collaboration of community volunteers building awareness and support for organ and tissue donation initiatives required to save lives. Members are pre and post-transplant recipients, family, friends, donor family members and volunteers working to communicate the miraculous changes that can be achieved from acting with vision and compassion. Kyla Kowalik 5th Annual Tournament

This girl’s hockey tournament will be held in recognition of 17-year old donor Kyla Kowalik, who was a grade 12 student at Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School and whose donations enhanced and gave four people a second opportunity to live their lives. Support a great cause by attending the tournament and learn more about registering your consent to donate your organs and tissues. The all division house league event features novice, atom, peewee, bantam and midget teams. Player of the Game Awards will presented for each game and a Skills Competition for each level. The tournament will be held at the Wilmot Recreation Complex at 1291 Nafziger Road in Baden.
