The educational resources that Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) has developed, can assist Healthcare Professionals from all disciplines increase their knowledge about organ and tissue donation. Whether you work in a critical care unit, an emergency department, the perioperative environment, or on a general in-patient unit, the material contained in this section will have information and knowledge that is relevant for your area of practice.
 
TGLN has formalized relationships with a growing number of level III critical care units in the province. Many of these hospitals have, or will have ‘Routine Notification’ mandated throughout their entire centre. This means that all in-patient units are required to notify Trillium Gift of Life Network when a patient has died, or prior to death in accordance with their established referral indicators.

Even if your hospital does not currently have a formalized relationship with TGLN, there are certain standards set forth by Accreditation Canada that we can assist you with.
