Victor Davis Memorial Ride - Victor Davis was an Olympic swimmer who represented and won medals for Canada at two Olympic games. He was also an organ and tissue donor. This summer his brother, Greg Davis, will be cycling from Guelph, Ontario to Quebec City, Quebec to promote the importance of registering your consent to donate organ and tissue in memory of his late brother, Victor. |

The Victor Davis Memorial Ride will celebrate transplant recipients participating at the Canadian Transplant Games in Quebec City, August 9-14, 2010. Greg will be stopping at several hospitals along his cycling journey to increase awareness for organ and tissue donation. We hope that you will show your support for Greg, our Ontario transplant athletes and all those touched by organ and tissue donation by coming out to attend our community ride kick-off events! We will need volunteers to attend and cheer on local athletes, cycle part of the route with Greg (within city centres) and help to create a crowd for local media in the morning each day. Support the Victor Davis Memorial Ride On July 28th, in partnership with the Canadian Transplant Association and Trillium Gift of Life Network, Greg Davis will begin his journey at the Victor Davis Pool in Guelph, Ontario and will finish in Quebec City, Quebec where he will award medals to Canadian Transplant Games athletes. Show your community that you're one more person who has helped to save lives by registering your consent to support organ and tissue donation. Download our YES sign and put it in a window of your home, office, car or school. Apply to volunteer to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation in your community. Together, we'll be raising awareness across the province and encouraging others to register their consent for organ and tissue donation.
